Controlling Gadgets with Amazon Alexa

This session takes attendees through a full start to finish example of how to create and control Smart Home Gadgets with the Amazon Alexa Service.

I take the attendees through the basics of how Alexa works, through writing a simple first skill, Lambda Functions and Device Shadows… 

We then move across to the Raspberry Pi and connect the Node.js code to the Amazon IoT service.

We finish up using a picture to recognise a person standing in front of an imaginary Smart Door Bell.
